SmartBoard Presentation (SmartBoard Software)

SmartBoard Presentation (PDF.)

My SmartBoard presentation is a lesson plan on poetry designed for a middle school language arts class.  It teaches students basic elements of poetry; considers new ways to organize language and allows students to express creativity through poetry.  With the use of the SmartBoard and the SmartBoard software, I was able to incorporate interactive tools such as labeling, fill in the blank, and lecture notes.  These activities not only made learning more engaging for students, but it also provided assessment of their understanding for the teacher.  An interactive whiteboard can be a valuable tool for if a teacher effectively utilizes the tools.  As a teacher, I would definitely utilize technology on a daily basis to get students to participate in class disscusions and to become more interested and involved in their learning.

Excel Lesson: Project 1 Project 2 Project 3

This is a group of three lessons that I completed using the Microsoft Excel program.  I further shared these completed lessons with my professor using Google Documents.  Excel is a great program to use for computing numbers and organizing information in charts and graphs.  This tool is great for teachers and students.

Technology Lesson Plans

This is a group of my five favorite lesson plans, which were designed with technology tools, or were designed to incorporate technology into the lesson plan to make learning more interactive and appealing to students.  With technology being such a dynamic influence in the current generation of students, I believe that the current students desire more stimulation and hands-on activities to achieve learning.  Technology is part of a student's everyday life, and so their knowledge of technology can be, and should be used to their advantage.  As an educator, I can use technology tools such as the internet, computers, iPods, cell phones, cameras and interacitve whiteboards.  By utilizing these tools in lesson plans I hope to engage students and expand on their knowledge.  It is essential to incorporate technology into the classroom to ensure the most effective learning enviornment.
